Blog N°7 Changes to my study programme
The current subjects I have are reduced in number because I am in 4th year of my career. These subjects are 'central engraving workshop' which is my main degree. Engraving is a printmaking process where a matrix of wood, metal or acrylic can be used to carve on its surface and then translate its content to another surface with ink or other techniques. 'Complementary molding workshop' where we use materials to make molds of sculptures and then replicate them. And ' theoretical seminar' which is like art history but focused on the philosophical part. I have no changes to propose on the 'subject' question since I personally find myself comfortable in these subjects. The workload and length of studies for me is kind of exhausting, there is a lot of work to do and not much time. The buildings and infrastructure of the faculty is good on the outside, but in the inside there's a lot of stuff that can be improved such as the general hygiene of the floors. Classrooms also need maintenance and air conditioners for the students that use different chemicals when painting and using different art techniques. The use of technology does not meet the general expectations of students. Doing online classes in a career like fine arts is not easy to manage on an online platform. The teaching methods of professors are personally good. I like how they show interest in their own subjects.
